Stress is often faced by people with body disorders, one of which is experiencing the reverse sleep phase. Rapid changes in times cause high pressure and burdens of life, both due to inappropriate economic, social and environmental conditions. This can increase the risk of stress, especially psychological stress. In dealing with this, it is very important to take preventive measures with the aim of reducing morbidity and mortality rates. Stress can be reduced by increasing the production of antioxidants which can be obtained from outside the body to help the effectiveness of antioxidant work from within the body. One ingredient that can have the effect of suppressing the oxidative stress process is green tea.
Green tea is considered capable of lowering blood glucose levels and has antioxidant properties. Polyphenols in green tea contain flavonoid compounds which dominate the most among other green tea components (around 75%) of the total polyphenols in green tea. Green tea is a type of tea that does not undergo a fermentation process, but undergoes a longer process of drying and evaporating the leaves than other teas. All types of tea contain tea polyphenols or often called catechins, but green tea is more popular because its polyphenol content is higher than black tea.
For years, humans have consumed tea every day for its calming effects and evocative taste. The traditional calming effect of the camellia sinensis plant has been developed into various types of drinks. Tea is not only drunk to quench thirst, but also as a means for meditation. Although the benefits of tea for mental health are common knowledge among those who enjoy it, now scientists are starting to examine how tea can have a good effect on mood and cognition in the human body. Tea apparently has potential as a source of the body's minerals which are important in various metabolic processes.
The ingredients contained in green tea can reduce levels of the stress hormone called cortisol. Evidence of the long-term health benefits of tea is also emerging. Like green tea, which if you drink half a cup per day can reduce the risk of depression and dementia. Of course, this effect does not come by itself. Considering the very diverse benefits of tea, now a lot of research focuses on the contents of tea.
